Position Overview: Quantity Surveyor – Mid-Level (District Cooling)
As a Quantity Surveyor at Kinz Group, we expect you to take full ownership of cost-related aspects across district cooling projects. You will play a key role in financial planning, cost monitoring, contract administration, and variation management, ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.
This position demands technical accuracy, commercial awareness, and deep familiarity with UAE construction practices, especially within district cooling and chilled water infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor
Cost Planning and Estimation
We rely on our Quantity Surveyors to prepare accurate cost estimates, detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and realistic budgets based on drawings, specifications, and project scope. Your role includes forecasting costs at various project stages and supporting informed decision-making.
BOQs and Tender Evaluation
You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and verifying BOQs, supporting procurement teams during tendering, and conducting commercial evaluations of subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure best value.
Cost Control and Budget Management
Effective cost monitoring and control is central to this role. We expect you to track expenditures, identify cost deviations, manage cash flow, and implement corrective actions to maintain financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
Variations and Final Accounts
You will manage variation claims, assess contractual entitlements, and prepare detailed justifications aligned with UAE contract standards. At project closeout, you will finalize final accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely settlement.
Contract Administration
Our projects follow UAE-standard contracts. You will assist in contract interpretation, compliance checks, and authority-related cost submissions, ensuring all financial matters meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
District Cooling and Chilled Water Expertise
This role specifically requires experience in district cooling projects, including:
Chilled water transmission networks
District cooling plants
Utility corridors and underground services
Mechanical and pipeline infrastructure
